WEAVING & KNITTING WORKSHOP

San Salvador through all its programmes and services are committed to the development of adults with intellectual disabilities towards self-actualization and to provide them with an opportunity to live a meaningful life, with support and guidance.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

From the early days the ladies living at San Salvador Home joined the weaving classes run by the Dominican Sisters. Weaving is a very complicated creative activity to master and the workshop attendees make beautiful and intricate hand woven articles such as place mates, handbags, rugs, shawls and a variety of knitted toys and clothing. The crafts made by the ladies are sold and help fund the upkeep of the Home.
